Larry:
LET’S TALK ABOUT STORM DAMAGED TREES. I KNOW THIS PAST SUMMER WE HAD ONE OF THE BIGGEST WIND STORMS THAT I CAN EVER REMEMBER. AND FOLLOWING THIS BIG STORM THERE WAS A LOT OF DAMAGE BUT PEOPLE NEED TO BE AWARE THAT AS THE FOLLIAGE STARTS FALLING OFF THEIR TREES THEY NEED TO START LOOKING FOR BROKEN LIMBS UP THERE, HANGING, CRACKED LIMBS, MAYBE A SPLIT FORK. A LOT OF STUFF LIKE THAT. FRACTURED LIMBS. DEAD LIMBS ALSO. I MEAN YOU MIGHT HAVE HAD SOME LIMBS THAT SPLIT AND NOW THEY’RE DEAD AND EVENTUALLY THEY’RE GOING TO FALL AND A LOT OF TIMES… FULL FOLLIAGE ON A TREE AND PEOPLE CAN’T REALLY SEE ALL THE DAMAGE UNLESS YOU KNOW IT’S SOMETHING HUGE. SO IT’S A GOOD TIME OF YEAR TO HAVE YOUR TREES TRIMMED. YOU KNOW FALL THROUGH THE WINTER IS THE BEST TIME BUT MOST TREES YOU CAN TRIIM YEAR ROUND JUST A SELECT FEW THAT YOU CAN’T TRIM YEAR ROUND AND THAT WOULD BE YOUR PIN OAKS, CRAB APPLES AND PEAR TREES ONLY BETWEEN OCTOBER AND THE END OF MARCH. AND IF YOU SHOULD FIND ANY DANGEROUS TREE PROBLEMS I WOULD SUGGEST YOU CALL AN I.S.A. CERTIFIED ARBORIST TO ASSESS THE SITUATION AND CORRECT THE PROBLEM IF IT’S ABLE TO BE CORRECTED.
