IT’S TIME FOR TREE TALK… YOUR WEEKLY NINETY SECONDS OF TOTALLY TREES RADIO PRESENTED BY BRUMBAUGH TREE SERVICE LLC.
Larry:
HI. IM LARRY BRUMBAUGH. WELCOME TO TREE TALK. RIGHT NOW THERE’S SPECIFICALLY TWO TYPES OF TREES THAT YOU SHOULD BE HAVING TRIMMED THIS TIME OF YEAR. ONE OF THEM IS THE BRADFORD PEAR. AND THE REASON WHY YOU YOU WANT TO DO THAT THIS TIME OF YEAR IS BECA– USE IN THE WARM SEASON THE HEAT AND MOISTURE ACTUALLY CA– USES FIRE BLIGHT IN YOUR TREE. AND IF THE TREE GETS FIRE BLIGHT, THE WHOLE LIMB DIES AND THEN YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE WHOLE LIMB, YOU HAVE TO DISINFECT YOUR TOOL WHEN YOU MAKE EVERY CUT, SO YOU WANT TO TRY TO AVOID THAT IF YOU CAN. ALSO THE OTHER TREE IS PIN OAK. AND THE REASON YOU’D WANT TO TRIM ON A PIN OAK THIS TIME OF YEAR BETWEEN NOVEMBER FIRST AND APRIL FIRST IS THE SAME REASON, ONLY NOT FOR FIRE BLIGHT. YOU COULD HAVE WHAT’S CALLED OAK WILT. WHAT HAPPENS IS, WHEN YOU OPEN UP A WOUND IN THE WARM SEASON, THE SAP HAS AN ORDER AND IT DRAWS BUGS TO YOUR TREE AND THAT’S WHAT STOPS THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE OF THE WATER IN YOUR TREE AND YOUR NUTRIENTS AND THEN YOUR TREE GETS OAK WILT AND DIES. WE JUST HAVE A BRAND NEW WEBSITE UP, ITS BRUMBAUGHTREESERVICE.COM. YOU CAN CHECK OUT OUR SERVICES THERE. THERE’S A LOT OF INFORMATION THERE FOR THE HOMEOWNER AND BUSINESSES. ALSO IF YOU MISSED ANY OF MY TUESDAY TREE TALK, THERES A LIBRARY OF THEM ON THIS SITE ALSO. THAT’S IT FOR THIS WEEKS EDITION OF TREE TALK. UNTIL NEXT TIME, I’M LARRY BRUMBAUGH, THANKS FOR LISTENING.
